Nitrogen Trifluoride NF3 – A Green House Gas

CO2 is not the only green house gas that is problematic, nor is it the only gas pollutant that mankind allows into the atmosphere. Nitrogen Trifluoride (NF3) is considered to be 17,000 times more potent as a greenhouse gas in the atmosphere than CO2 and there are well over 5,000 metric tons of NF3 in our atmosphere now. It is estimated that Nitrogen Trifluoride takes over 500-years to breakdown.
